St John's wort : which brands are effective?

While studies have shown that St John's wort can help relieve mild depression, consumers have no way of knowing which brands will live up to the promises or if any might fall short. A lack of transparency shown by some of the companies that supply St John's wort products makes it difficult to know which brands can be used with confidence.
