A fire safety officer is investigating Brisbane's Palace backpackers hostel to see if the building meets safety requirements following a fire overnight. A small overnight fire forced up to 200 backpackers to be evacuated from the city hostel. No-one was injured. A spokesman for the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service says the cause of the blaze is also being investigated. |
